12 - [Video] / Action for Azalea

[There is an Onix on your screen. An Onix... lounging near the Azalea Pokemon Center in the sun. She's curled up, though, allowing for people to pass by.]

[And turning herself into one seriously epic climbing gym for two little pokemon. One is a fairly unremarkable Squirtle, who has climbed on top of her crest and is apparently pretending to be a flag. The other is a Growlithe.]

[A Growlithe with very stubby little legs and slightly pointed features. A corgi-lithe. She is running up and down the Onix's boulders, barking like the puppy she is, and occasionally rolling off one side of the rocks. This is the best fun ever!]

[There's a boot toe visible in one corner of the screen. Ironhide apparently set the 'gear down and forgot about it while watching this spectacle. The Growlithe, however, has not been so forgetful. She bounds over, and starts licking the camera before the feed cuts as Ironhide's hand comes into frame, and lifting her out of view.]

That's true... Mine have been having a little more trouble finding a space on land to work out when we are in a city.

Yes, they still take quite a bit of space. [A chuckle.] And large pokémon can be really wild when playing.

[Lion then looks at the Onix and smiles a little because, sob, that's kinda adorable.] Then again, everyone has fun in different ways, don't they...?

[Totally the best ever. Lion then stays quiet a little, watching the little pokémon play...]

That Growlithe is certainly an energetic one.

Oh... Did you get it as an egg? [Lion has seen enough "baby" pokémon hatch to know how "YAAAAY" they can get when they are young xD]

I see! Most of my own pokémon were raised from eggs too.

Some people prefer to catch their pokémon, but there are many breeders and trainers who breed their pokémon and sell the eggs to get quick money.

Yes that's right.

I can't say I completely agree, but I understand that pokémon won't mate unless they are comfortable with their partners, so at least they are not being pushed to do so.

It's really strange when we consider how intelligent pokémon seem to be.

There are other trainers who sell or give away eggs that their pokémon had on their own, as a way to find new homes for them.

[Lion is not comfortable with this whole "breeding for money" thing, that being why in the end Lion never bred any pokémon despite being a "breeder"; but at the same time...]

Maybe mentioning it to the people who do it would have a greater effect.

[Mating is awesome!! Or so they say, Lion wouldn't know.]

I suppose many people are still mating their pokémon like that because they don't see it as a bad thing.

But on the other side, some pokémon seem to enjoy it quite a bit, so I suppose that can also help to that idea.

It can be really strange... Yet it seems to work that way.

I heard that this place was just like the world in a videogame... That could explain many of those strange things.
