[For whatever the reason, Ironhide has decided being outdoors in December is preferable to staying inside. You know, where it's warm.]
[He's... back on the beach. Bundled up in his big, black coat, and throwing a piece of driftwood for his Growlithe. Dog seems totally unfazed by the cold, running around and barking as if it were a summer day out.]
What is one meant to do, when stationed somewhere? Hmn? There is nothing to fight. Little to train for, and I cannot work these creatures constantly.
[He scowls, watching Dog scamper around.]
Not fair to them.
So... what is it I am meant to do here, if I am required to stay?

...There's dangerous stuff here, if the city isn't ready for any kind of attack. Maybe you can come up with suggestions for how to improve that. In case of something dangerous like a Pokemon stampede or Team Rocket...

There is no military presence here. The police force seems incapable of using a simple firearm.
Who would I suggest anything to?

The gym leaders are usually pretty important to a town? Otherwise there's gotta be a mayor or something. And if you find an excuse why you can't do that, find a good book to read.

Since having a gym is what really puts a city on the map, if the Gym Leader doesn't have the power to make changes to better defend a City, they should know who can.

Is it that difficult, Autobot, to substitute "Gym Leader" for "Human Female"? Since Gym Leader is also what she is.

It sucks, we're weird, we like things a certain way, and if you want something it's usually best to go along with it.
When you don't want anything, by all means, human is a fine way to define us all. I hate doing all the stuff by the ridiculous little rules everyone has, but I do it when I need to work with others.

If I'm right they are a bunch of over trained military people who gave up having creative thoughts a long time ago. They have rules, but they are much more utilitarian and boring.

I'm not from your world, so I have no idea how your world works. I imagine you could take guesses at how mine works and you'd probably be wrong on things too.
Do you usually call your friends by their race and gender?

No. I use their designations. Since they are my friends, and not random humans I have never spoken to.

Unless you do know everything, but then you would know all the names you don't use.
I use everyone's name if I can. Just because they aren't my friend yet doesn't mean they can't be, but they definitely won't be if I'm mean to them.
