[Another video feed with Ironhide. Though, this time, he seems much more pleased with current events. He's seated on the floor, between his Growlithe, and his Aggron, examining a little green creature busily chewing on his boot toe.]

Huh. Not what I expected. Not sure I mind...

[Yep. His Christmas egg finally hatched. As he sits there, actually, genuinely smirking, the baby pokemon decides it's a good time to climb up one of his big arms, and perch on his shoulder.]

[It's a Scyther. A slightly different color of Scyther...]

I have just the name for you, kid.

[Apparently he's either unaware he turned the 'gear on, or he's feeling in an exceptionally good mood. Because he reaches up to tap the little bug on the nose.]

Best live up to it, Sideswipe.

Hey, it takes real metal to be a melee fighter, so there's that at least. Nothin' wrong with poundin' faceplate if you can.

And if he had the build for it, I would not be against it. He does not. Built like a stick... too much put into speed. Not enough armor.

Really? Now I'm trying to picture it.

I mean, the Sideswipe I know wasn't exactly big, but he wasn't "built like a stick".

This kid... all leg. All arm.

Makes for a bad frontline soldier. And that was where he always wanted to be.

... Yeah. I almost named my new one after Ratchet.

Why "almost"?

Well, at first it kinda reminded me of him, 'cause it looks grumpy. But it doesn't make any noise and just kind of... stares. And terrorizes poor Specs. Wasn't really the best homage, you know?
