17 -- 4th Wall Event -- Video/Action
[Somewhere in Goldenrod, there is a massive black robot. He's about 25' tall, well over four tons, and armed to the teeth.]
[He also looks excessively proud of himself as he kicks snow out of his path. This is the image the 'gear shows over the network.]
About time I was returned to my frame. Cold is hardly a problem now.
[For emphasis, he scoops some of said snow into one huge hand, and compacts it into what may be the largest and most deadly snowball Jhoto has ever seen.]
... Hmm.
[Be warned, citizens. The old weapons master is just looking for a target.]

[Action]
Oversized? That seems a bit rich, coming from a giant space robot.
[Action]
You should see some of the Decepticons.
[Action]
[Action]
Demolishor was at least twice Prime's size in height. And Optimus was taller than me by a good couple feet.
[Action]
... Holy shit.
[Action]
Which part? The Decepticons? Or Prime?
[Action]
That's pretty hard to picture.
[She'd fought some pretty big things in her time... but not even God had been that big. ... Physically, anyway.]
Did you kill it? The Demolisher thing.
[Action]
[There's a pause, and when he answers her question, there's something hard and angry in his voice.]
We did. We blew a hole straight through its head. Put a stop to it once and for all.
[Action]
[She sounds genuinely impressed. In a movie, giant robots blowing each other up might not be too earth-shaking for her. But thinking about it happening in real life...]
[Action]
[Action]
And the bad guy was the size of a friggin' building.
That's pretty damn cool.
... Not even I've done that.
[Action]
[A beat.]
Yeah, your foes were a little... small.
[Action]
... A lot bigger.
[She pauses, then adds--]
... But like I said, not as big as that.
[Action]
[Action]
... Ever seen a subway train?
[Action]
[Action]
[The splitworm had not been a pleasant opponent. She'll say that much.]
[Action]
Large prey for you.
[Action]
[She won't lie, though. She was pretty dang proud of defeating that thing.
Possibly for symbolic reasons.][Action]
[He says it amiably -- it's not an argument he's looking for.]
[Action]
That it was.
[She rubs a hand on her coat for warmth before looking down at it.]
... All I had was that handgun.
... Y'know. The one that I shot atcha with.
[Action]
Go on.
[Action]
[She doesn't usually go into detail about Silent Hill... not even about her triumphs. But this is the guy who's started teaching her how to fight better. AND the guy who left a good number of smoking craters in (imaginary, but still) Silent Hill.]
Basically it was a giant worm. Like... really giant. With big blunt teeth and a hood that closed over its head.
I was trapped in this enclosed chamber with it... kept coming in and out of the walls to attack.
Its skin was too thick for the bullets to pierce, all except for its face.
So I had to get kinda creative to be able to... you know, actually make the shots count...
[Action]
Creative? I like the sound of this.
[Action] sob adding creative license because SH boss fights aren't actually all that interesting.
I had to trick it into opening up so I could hit it where it hurt, but only in places where I could get a good shot, AND wouldn't be like... in IMMEDIATE danger of being chomped, you know?
Anyway, I'd already gotten knocked around a bit just trying to get away from it where it kept popping out. It was hard to tell which hole it was gonna come out of 'cause even though it was noisy as HELL, the whole damn place echoed so badly the racket it made down in the tunnels could've been comin' from anywhere.
And it ALWAYS seemed to know where I was when it came bursting out, even though I'm pretty sure it was blind. Like, it didn't have any eyes, 'least not that I could see.
So I was like... man, how does it always know where I AM? 'Cause I was trying to get away, you know? Kinda hard when it keeps blindsiding you out of whatever tunnel you're in front of...
But then I was thinking ... if it couldn't see me, it had to HEAR me. Which seemed like it SUCKED at first because, well GREAT, nowhere to hide. But then I realized that if it was attacking based on where it heard me, that meant I could decide where I wanted it to come out.
[action] Heather that is beautiful.
[action] SHE DOES HAVE A BRAIN IN THERE EVEN IF SHE DOESN'T ALWAYS ACT LIKE IT
[action] Good girl ;o;
