[At first, it's just Ironhide's face. He's looking out across the way at something, bundled up like a mummy against the cold.]

Huh.

[He turns the 'gear, and shows his Aggron, Egg, apparently having a wrestling contest with a tiny green creature. Egg isn't trying very hard, mostly just shoving the little Pokemon away from him with a foot.]

Why do we even need to bother capturing these creatures, if this place just dumps them on us whenever it sees fit?

[Another, thoughtful, pause.]

Think I will call it... "Green."

[Ironhide you are terrible at naming things.]

Yeah, he saw my 'panicky Rikku' thingie and ended up making me laugh. Are you a friend of his?

I woke up and was a little panicked at being here with an electric creature in a red ball and no explanation. So, panicky Rikku thingie. Transmission. Y'know!

[In the background, said electric creature and Rikku's new Pidgey are playing 'chase the new egg around the hotel floor']

Your... electric creature is playing ball with an egg...

[Rikku turns around and flails a little, telling Marble (the Blitzle) and Ren (the Pidgey) that playing with the egg is not a good idea. She has to threaten sticking them out in the cold before they stop and she can take the egg away]

Geez, I just get it and they think it's a toy.

[He quirks an eyebrow at this, but offers no comment until she turns back around.]

Yeah, they do that a lot.

At least they didn't break it. That'd be...bad. And messy, but mostly bad.

That's good. [Rikku's still hugging her egg] Anyway, what kind of Pokémon was, uh, Green fighting with? It looked big.

[He turns around. Egg is, once again, nudging the little green Pokemon aside with his foot.]

His name is "Egg".

He's...kinda scary looking. What is he?

[Give him a minute while he looks this up. Ironhide doesn't keep track of things like types. Just the names of his gang.]

Aggron, it says.

He's huge. Are you sure it's safe to let her chew on him?

Probably. If he dislikes it, she learns her lesson.

[Besides, he trusts Egg not to hurt the little ones -- otherwise Napalm the Onix would strongly object. Worse than even Ironhide himself.]
