21 - Video // Action for Goldenrod
[The video features Ironhide and his Onix -- Napalm -- exiting the doors of the Goldenrod Gym. Judging from the angle of the video, the 'gear is being held by the newly dubbed "Green", since it's so close to the ground. From inside the Gym, one can clearly hear the sound of sobbing...]
[Ironhide shoots a glance at Napalm, who, despite not having any shoulders, does a fairly good impression of a shrug. He shakes his head, then steps forward and takes the 'Gear, revealing that it is, in fact, Green filming.]
Never thought a Leader would start to cry when they were defeated...
[He pauses, chewing his lip for a moment.]
... Never thought I would be here this long. A year should not feel so...
[He looks to Napalm, who snorts, and lowers her head. Ironhide heaves himself up, as Green scrambles behind him.]
Cliffjumper. Get your things. Time to roll out.

That seems to be the way things go in this place. Seeing people in person's hard when everyone's so spread-out.
... How long you thinking of staying there?

I wound up there for months and didn't really mind.

[He scoffs quietly.] Cliffjumper will hate that.

Heh, nah.
Hell, a year's probably nothin' to you, right?
[She figures after a few millennia, a year must seem like the blink of an eye after awhile.]

... longer I spend with your kind, the longer it seems. Must be glitch or something.

... Y'know, the FUNNY thing is we sorta work the same way.
The years never seem longer than when you're a kid.
The older you get... the quicker they seem to go.
... We just have so much fewer than you guys.

[Her last statement though, makes him pause. And turn serious.]
... Maybe before the war, you did. After... the young ones were lucky to make it that long.

... We don't live for millions of years, so even an old man'd probably feel one pass more slowly than one of you. Y'know?
[She trails off at that point, though.]
... A lot die, huh?

[Ironhide never dealt well with change. That the years seem so much longer now... it's unsettling.]
... they did. War is not kind to the young and untrained. Neither is the enemy.

Haven't yet met an enemy that is.
[Even if she's never been at war... it's always the young that seem to suffer at the hands of corruption.]
