21 - Video // Action for Goldenrod

[show_my_cannons]

[The video features Ironhide and his Onix -- Napalm -- exiting the doors of the Goldenrod Gym. Judging from the angle of the video, the 'gear is being held by the newly dubbed "Green", since it's so close to the ground. From inside the Gym, one can clearly hear the sound of sobbing...]

[Ironhide shoots a glance at Napalm, who, despite not having any shoulders, does a fairly good impression of a shrug. He shakes his head, then steps forward and takes the 'Gear, revealing that it is, in fact, Green filming.]

Never thought a Leader would start to cry when they were defeated...

[He pauses, chewing his lip for a moment.]

... Never thought I would be here this long. A year should not feel so...

[He looks to Napalm, who snorts, and lowers her head. Ironhide heaves himself up, as Green scrambles behind him.]

Cliffjumper. Get your things. Time to roll out.

His name is Roller, and I don't get why you have such a problem with him.

Have you looked at it?

[Napalm seems to have no issues, lowering her head to sniff at Roller.]

He's a pokémon. They're all a little weird. Nothin' to freak out over.

[ Roller wobbles there for a moment, before uncurling and latching onto Napalm's face ]

Right --

[Except then Napalm jerks her head back in surprise. Ironhide has to grasp onto her crest to keep from falling off.]

-- You were saying!

[ action ]

Oh for the love of-- Roller, a little warning before you decide to hug someone's face!

[ action ]

[show_my_cannons]

[Napalm, to her credit, calms down pretty quickly, and ends up just sitting there, with the little red critter stuck to her face.]

[... her expression pretty much mirror's Ironhide's.]

Or maybe it should not do that at all.

[ action ]

[ Cliff rolls his eyes. ] Roller, leave her alone.

[ The Darumaka grumbles a bit, but lets go. ]

[show_my_cannons]

[Napalm snorts, as if to say, "That's better". And then calmly proceeds to nudge Cliff in thanks.]

Why do they all like you so much?

[ action ]

[getthehorns]

[ He gives the pokémon an affectionate pat on the nose ] Why do who like who so much?

[ action ]

[show_my_cannons]

The creatures. There is not a single one that dislikes you.

[ action ]

I dunno. I guess I never really thought about it.

[ action ]

[show_my_cannons]

Kind of strange.

[He shrugs though, before looking off into the distance.]

Where to next?

[ action ]

Maybe I'm just nicer than you.

[ He gives Napalm another pat ]

Might as well keep goin' forward. Up next is Ecruteak, I think.

Yeah, sure.

[She nudges him again, with the entire side of her face.]

They say that is where the ghosts live.

Don't tell me you're afraid of ghosts, Ironhide.

... Yours would run from its own shadow. What is there to fear?

[ action ]

They're not all like Specs, you know.

Still nothing to be afraid of. The one Heather has is less than threatening, too.

[ He falls into a light jog alongside them ] You doin' okay?
